Project Description
- The N-GIS shall manage, disseminate and maintain in a sustainable
way the geographic and alphanumeric information produced for
and/or derived from the Census 2001.
- The basis of the system is: National Topographic Data Base
of the SD (N- TDB) National Census Data Base of CBS: N- CDB
- The project will be implemented under the NGIIP of HMG/N.
- In addition to SD and CBS several organizations at the central
and district level will be integrated in the system as part
of the project.
- The project implementation will form the basis on which
HMG/N shall create a permanent institution.
- EC funds shall contribute to the initial design for the
first 2 years.
Basic system description
- The system will be based on the N-TDB and the N- CDB data
in database format.
- Necessary processing of N- TDB by regional and national
level and the integration of the two types of data will be
made into the N- GIS.
